Why roses?
Because
they're hot.
Many
thanks to Ginger Liu, Los Angeles-based photographer whose
work appears this month in ragazine.cc's
photography section. Being that it's St. Valentine's Day
month, the tantalizing wet, pink rose seems a fitting cover
photo for our return to the world of the living. That is,
we've been hibernating so long -- or is it gestating -- that
waking up to find the world a better place is just such a
surprise! Things have changed. People do seem more
hopeful.We could be kidding ourselves, but hey, after an
eight-year-long nightmare, we need something more to go on
than fear and loathing.
In
these days of financial catastrophe, it doesn't cost
anything to flip through our pages and see what changes
we've gone through, what subjects have caught our attention
that we hope will also catch yours. See who's doing what in
our world of art, photography, music, poetry, or one of the
other topics we cover. Remember with us the passing of one
of the most influential modern poets, W. D. Snodgrass, who died
